When Pharaoh refuses to allow the Children of Israel to leave Egypt, God through Moses, turns the Egyptian water supply to blood as a judgement on them for their refusal to acknowledge Him as the Lord (Exod. 7:17). This is an economic disaster that reminds us that God can change anything in an instant.
