CHRISTMAS AT THE RIDGE

Come support your local and global community this Christmas! Carols, a BBQ, our annual Christmas Dog Competition and kids activities are all back and more!

FUNDRAISING FOR THE RFS
Once again we will have a number of activities happening in our car park. Everything will be gold coin donation with all proceeds going to our local Menai RFS! We have planned something for everyone: live carols, a BBQ, and the popcorn and slushie machines will be ready to go! We have face painting and Christmas ornament decorating ready for the kids.
Our Christmas Dog Competition is returning! Bring along your pet in their Christmas best and they could win a prize!

FOOD DRIVE FOR FOODBANK
We will be hosting a Christmas Food Drive for Foodbank! Foodbank do incredible work supporting those in Australia experiencing a hunger crisis. Please consider bringing along a non-perishable donation on the 17th, handing it to our volunteers at the drop off point and then continuing on to enjoy all the activities we will have on offer!
We will bring all donated items to Foodbank before Christmas so they can be added to the Christmas hampers Foodbank are preparing. Items most in need are:
– Bottled water
– Good quality tinned food and meals (with ring pulls)
– Noodles, pasta, and rice
– Long life milk
– Museli bars and snacks
– Deodorant, soap and body wash
– Shampoo, conditioner and sanitary items
– Baby food and formula
– Pet food

USEFUL GIFTS SHOP FOR TEARFUND
Perhaps you’ve left your Christmas shopping to the last week, or perhaps there is someone in your life that you just don’t know what to get them this Christmas! We have you sorted! On Sunday 17th we are really pleased to announce that we will have our Useful Gifts Shop open for Tearfund. Purchasing one of the beautiful cards on offer will equip Tearfund to work with agencies around the world to end poverty and challenge inequality. All money from this stall will be going directly to the work of Tearfund.
These cards make a truly thoughtful gift! Cards on offer will be:
– Cards for $5 – chickens, health & nutrition, early learning
– Cards for $10 – Seeds & tools, teacher training
– Cards for $15 – Girls education, where it’s needed most
– Cards for $25 – safe water, adult literacy; $50 – healthy mums &
babies, goat; $70 toilet! etc. etc.
