Paul begins this chapter but gets sidetracked as he describes himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ on behalf of the Gentiles. To remember Paul's previous way of life as a persecutor and opponent of Jesus who tried to destroy the church, helps us to see the incredible salvation God brings in his life. It also reminds us that those we might rule out or consider unlikely to come to faith cannot stand before the power of God if he so chooses to save them. Nothing is impossible for God. No one is beyond his reach.
