Planning to Fail

Today we will be looking at James 4:13–17. James confronts ordinary planning and calls it what it often is: arrogant presumption about tomorrow. He points us to Christ, the one who perfectly submitted to the Father’s will, and calls us to plan humbly under his rule, saying, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
