This morning we work through the vision found in Ezekiel 1 and are reminded of the Glory of God. We look at the picture of the vision found in this chapter and then the meaning of the vision.

This morning, as we finish 2024, we will reflect on the Church of Laodicea, exploring the dangers of self-sufficiency and the need to recognise our dependence on Jesus and the power of the gospel.

This morning we wrap up our series on the Signs of Power in John. Each sign is written in John so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in his name! (John 20:31). The raising of Lazarus is the final … and really the ultimate sign in the Gospel of John, pointing forward to the very reason Jesus came – to bring life to the world!

Today we take a look at TWO of the works of power recorded in John, Jesus healing the lame and the blind. Come join us as together we learn what these miracles teach us about Jesus, His power and our faith in Him.

Jesus walking on the water is the 4th work of power we take a look at in this series. The disciples, seeing Jesus walking on the water are initially terrified of his appearance but nevertheless invite him into the boat.

We continue our series on the Works of Power from John, looking at Jesus feeding the 5,000. As we’ve seen already, each sign points forward to something far greater, and today, we’ll see the bread Jesus provides for the crowd points us forward to something far far greater – and that is the Bread of Life!

We turn to the second miracle recorded in the Gospel of John, Jesus healing the official’s son (John 4:46-54). We learn more about who Jesus is and about faith.

This morning we begin a series on the signs of Jesus in John’s Gospel. The first of these signs is turning water into wine, which reveals the amazing power of Jesus and produces faith in His disciples.

This morning, we are wrapping up our series on 1 Samuel. We finish the series at chapter 8, which marks a significant turning point in the narrative of Samuel and even in the narrative of the Bible. In asking for a King like the nations, Israel rejects their identity as God’s chosen people. This chapter becomes a warning for us. Don’t forget who you are. Don’t forget your identity. Don’t trade Sonship for Slavery!

In 1 Samuel 7, we reach a turning point. Samuel judges Israel and he calls them to repent. In verse 3 Samuel says: “If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” Their repentance was to be both internal (with all their hearts) and external (removing all idols).

As we enter 1 Samuel 5 the Ark of the Covenant is in the hands of the Philistines. However, God is greater than any of Israel’s enemies and far greater than any of their man-made idol. The Lord’s authority and power are on full display.

We turn to 1 Samuel 4 this week and the Philistines capture the Ark. Israel’s leaders think they can manipulate God but God will raise up a leader who will honour his Word.

We move into 1 Samuel 3. The Word of the Lord was rare in those days, but God breaks through the silence by calling young Samuel to the office of prophet. His first task? To deliver devastating news to Eli the priest of impending judgment.

Join us for our second week in the book of 1 Samuel. Godly leadership is so important in the building up of God’s Church and poor leadership can only lead to spiritual decline.

We start a series on the first eight chapters of 1 Samuel. The Book of Samuel could be called: “The Coming of the King”. The Book of Samuel is a leadership book that ultimately leads towards the King that God would provide for his people, Israel. Like Israel 3000 years ago, we live in a leaderless world and as we spend time looking at God’s provision for Israel, we reflect on the leader that God provided for us.

This is our final sermon in our TULIP series. P stands for ‘Perseverance of the Saints.’ This point addresses our eternal security. Many professing Christians end up turning away from Jesus. This leaves us asking the question: must man persevere in faith or is is God the One who preserves us?? In Philippians we read “He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it to the end.” (Phil 1:6)

We are up to the I in TULIP! The I stands for ‘Irresistible Grace’. ”The doctrine of irresistible grace says that the Holy Spirit never fails to call, regenerate, and save those whom the Father has elected and Christ has redeemed.” – Joel Beeke

We take a look at the “L” in TULIP. L stands for “Limited Atonement,” or another way of saying that is: “Definite Atonement.” It answers the question: Did Christ die for all people?

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.” – John 15:16. We continue our TULIP series with the “U” which stands for Unconditional Election. Of all doctrines, the grace of God is seen most clearly in election and it is this doctrine perhaps more than all other doctrines that should motivate us to mission, liberate us to evangelise and bring us to our knees in joy-producing, soul-humbling worship of our sovereign King.

This is the first of a five-part sermon series on the the five points of Calvinism, also known as TULIP. We take a look at the ‘T’ which stands for ‘Total Depravity’. R.C. Sproul said: “We are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners.” Due to technical difficulties the sermon is in two parts (i.e. two videos).

Our last sermon in the book of Philippians (for now!). We take a look at Philippians 4:10-23 and understand what it means to have Christ as ‘Our Contentment.’

It’s our second to last sermon in Philippians! Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. We can be blown about by strains in our relationships, anxiety can rear its ugly head, and it can be tempting to stick our head in the sand and hope it just blows over. But that is not the way it needs to be! In Philippians 4:1-9 Paul shows us how we can stand firm in the storms of life – by standing firm in the Lord. How do we do this?

Philippians is a letter about joy. The idea of joy or rejoicing is mentioned 12 times in 104 verses in the NIV. Yet this book is written by a man in prison, in chains, isolated from his friends, facing potential death. How can he still be joyful? Can we have joy in the rough and tumble of life? This morning God’s Word asks you: “What sparks your joy?”

As we continue our journey through Philippians we come to Timothy and Epaphroditus. Paul points to these men as practical examples of the truths he has been unpacking so far in Philippians. How do do these examples challenge and encourage us as a church family today?

We continue on in Philippians Chapter 2! What does the Apostle Paul mean by “work out” your salvation? Is Paul speaking to believers or unbelievers? We dive deep into Philippians 2 to discover how the Holy Spirit helps us apply this wonderful truth to our lives today.

The Profession of Faith of CS. As we enter the second chapter in our Philippians sermon series we take a look at the example of Christ in the life of the church. We can’t be humble in ourselves but we feel very humbled when we focus on Jesus and what He sacrificed for us. This love will fuel our attitude as we serve our Christian brothers and sisters.
