Matthew 8:23-27 Jesus Calms the Storm

Jesus Calms the Storm

“Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!””

This was the first message delivered via live stream because, as a church, we could not conduct our ordinary Sunday Services. In this sermon we look at Matthew description of Jesus showing us his amazing power and might by stilling the winds and the waves. We also notice that Jesus rebuked his disciples for their lack of faith. As the repercussions of the Covit-19 virus go through society we need to trust that Jesus is with us and has all power.
